Dudley duo a package deal?

Fans of North Carolina high school football should be well aware of Dudley High School in Greensboro, NC. Dudley has won two straight state football titles and returns a talented duo next season in DB David Amerson and LB Major Bryant. Amerson has already racked up a ton of offers and his team mate, the talented 6-1, 210 pound Bryant could be next.
“I don’t have any offers right now,” said Bryant. “I’m getting recruited as a linebacker but East Carolina is recruiting me as a strong safety. I’m getting interest from Alabama, Boston College, Clemson, Duke, East Carolina, North Carolina, and Purdue. Clemson is recruiting me the hardest. My top school is Clemson but I also like East Carolina, and Wake Forest. I think Clemson is close to offering along with East Carolina.”
Bryant grew up watching the Florida Gators and was impressed with the environment down in Gainesville. He hopes to find the same type of environment in the school that he ultimately decides to attend.
“Florida was my favorite team growing up,” he said. “It seems like they have a good environment and a cool school. I haven’t ever been down there but it looked like a cool school with all of the people out there. I want to find a school that has a good environment and that also has my major. My major will be a big part of where I decide to go to school. I plan on majoring in Sports Nutrition Management or Physical Education.”
Bryant has already taken a number of visits to a trio of ACC powers and this summer could be a busy one for the linebacker. With his decision looming later in the year, Bryant needs to see what each school has to offer. However, there is another factor that will play a role in what school he chooses and that all depends on what his team mate David Amerson decides to do.
“I visited Wake Forest recently and I went to Clemson a few months ago,” Bryant said. “I’ve also been to NC State and Appalachian State. I think I’m going to make my decision during the middle of the season. David (Amerson) and I talked recently and decided that we are going to go to the same school. We are going to tell everybody that we are a package deal.”
