Cowboys currently recruiting Lowe the hardest

Daytawion Lowe is another talented prospect out of Carl Albert High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The 6-1, 180 pound defensive back currently has offers from Nebraska, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas Tech, New Mexico, and Colorado. One school out of that bunch however, is recruiting him the hardest.
“I’m pretty open right now,” Lowe said. “Oklahoma State is the team that’s currently recruiting me the hardest. I’m looking for a school with good coaches and that also has good academics. Whenever I know what school I want to go to, I will go ahead and decide. I’m not going to wait and try to pick up more offers and all of that. Whenever I know I am going to get it over with.”
Lowe is primary being recruited at safety and cornerback and also claims to have a 4.44 40 time. On the field he tackles very well and is trying to break the career tackles record for Carl Albert High School. He wants to work on his footwork at the next level, but that’s just one of many goals that he has for this upcoming season.
“My goals for this season are to win a state championship and break the career tackle record for my school,” he said. “I need about 150 to do that and had 116 tackles last season. The record is 352 tackles and I’m 150 away.”
Growing up Lowe followed Oklahoma and Oklahoma State but that’s only natural since he lives in the state of Oklahoma. In the same school as Lowe, there is another impressive class of 2009 prospect. David Oku is one of the top running back prospects for this year and helps form a dynamic duo with Lowe for the Titans. Oku and Lowe are close friends but their friendship isn’t going to have an effect on their college decisions.
“Whatever is best for him and whatever is best for me is what it comes down to,” Lowe said. “If it’s the same place then that’s great but if not, we need to go our separate ways. I want what’s best for him and he wants what is best for me. I haven’t taken any visits so far but David and I are supposed to visit some schools together pretty soon. I’m planning on going to the Under Armour camp that’s in Kansas City in June.”
