Season Outlook:

The Golden Panthers showed a lot of heart last season and return ten starters on offense and eight on defense.  The Golden Panthers offensive line is anchored by sophomore center Brad Serini.  Serini was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List and is one of six sophomores on the list.  The Golden Panthers have a killer out of conference schedule with games against South Florida, Kansas, and Iowa.  The Golden Panthers best chances for wins should be against Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, and North Texas.

Season Outlook:

The Mean Green won’t be too “mean” on defense this year but the offense should provide some fireworks.  True Sophomore Giovanni Vizza is coming off a conference freshman of the year season and judging by his final eight games last season, the Mean Green should be in good shape.  The big key will be the defense and if they can improve on allowing 45.1 points per game last season.

Season Outlook:

The Blazers lose QB Sam Hunt and hope to improve in Head Coach Neil Callaway’s second season.  The Blazers have a challenging out of conference schedule with away games against Florida Atlantic, South Carolina, and Tennessee.  The Blazers do return senior safety Will Dunbar, who was named to the 2008 Bronko Nagurski Watch List.  Dunbar also led all Conference USA defenders in tackles per game last season.  The Blazers should beat Alabama State and could realistically beat Tulane, and Memphis.
