After a number of upsets Friday night, here are our projections for round 2 and a revised final four and national champion.

Round 2:

EAST

1) North Carolina vs. 9) Arkansas
North Carolina should cruise in this one, but Arkansas looks scary at times

5) Notre Dame vs. 4) Washington State
Both teams look extremely impressive so far, but I have to go with the Cougars in Round 2

3) Louisville vs. 6) Oklahoma
What a boring bracket, straight seeds winning everywhere.  I like Louisville in this one

7) Butler vs. 2) Tennessee
I’m really looking forward to this one.  I think Butler can win this one, but it’s hard to go against the talented Vols

MIDWEST

1) Kansas vs. 8) UNLV
The Jayhawks are the team to beat in this tournament in my opinion and should beat UNLV rather easily

12) Villanova vs. 13) Siena
Siena looked pretty darn good on Friday, but Coach Jay Wright will have his Wildcats ready to play

3) Wisconsin vs. 11) Kansas State
I just don’t see how the Badgers can match up with Beasley and Walker

10) Davidson vs. 2) Georgetown
Another game I’m really looking forward to.  I think Davidson can win this game, but I have to go with the experienced Hoyas

SOUTH

1) Memphis vs. 8) Mississippi State
Memphis will cruise in this one against the Bulldogs

5) Michigan State vs. 4) Pittsburgh
This is a tough one to pick.  It could either way, but the Spartans have the edge at coaching

3) Stanford vs. 6) Marquette
The Cardinals should control the game inside and win this game

7) Miami (FL.) vs. 2) Texas
Miami had a great 2nd half on Friday but they will need to play like that for the full 40 minutes against Texas.  I just don’t see it happening

WEST

1) UCLA vs. 9) Texas A&M
In our last projections, I claimed the Aggies were overrated.  That was a typo as they are vastly underrated.  While they are a good squad, UCLA is on another level

12) Western Kentuckyvs.13) San Diego
Both Cinderella teams with only one who can go to the ball and San Diego is going to be the one that advances

3) Xavier vs. 6) Purdue
Purdue looks pretty impressive.  Under Matt Painter, they are a tough team and they will beat Xavier

7) West Virginia vs. 2) Duke
Based on what I saw on Thursday, I probably should be picking the Mountaineers.  Coach K will rally the troops and win a close one though

REVISED FINAL FOUR: North Carolina, Kansas, Texas, UCLA

REVISED NATIONAL CHAMPION: Kansas
